We Are One…In Spirit
Recently, I have come to the realization that we all have the same purpose in life. Think about it; everyone that is a major influence on the masses is a person who inspires, motivates, and teaches others to love themselves, be healthier, become a better version of him/herself. All of these things bring happiness to others. It wasn’t until I was watching Oprah’s Life Class with Deepak Chopra and Perez Hilton that I came to this realization. Perez was talking about how he used to hurt people and justify it in different ways. He spoke about his turning point, and expressed that he has changed his life; he’s become more spiritual, more aware. In his awareness, he’s found his purpose. Perez stated that his purpose in life is to inspire, uplift, help and teach people. Oprah responded, saying that he’d stolen her purpose and Deepak Chopra’s purpose as well. As Perez was speaking, I was thinking the same thing; that’s my purpose too. This leads me to believe that we all have the same purpose in life. We all have something to offer that no one else in the world can. Though our ultimate goal is the same, we use different avenues to get there. Some people sing to bring happiness to others. Some speak to motivate and inspire. Other people write or dance or paint. We have all been given talents, and are expected to figure out that we should use our talents to serve others. We get our needs met through doing something that we are passionate about, and others are blessed by our talents. The chain should then be that those people are inspired to use their gifts/talents and bless someone else in turn. This keeps the flow of the universe free and in constant motion. When people find their purpose in life, their advice to others is usually “just do what you were created to do”, because if we all would do that, everything else will fall into place. Opportunities are waiting to come to us.
